Which inverter brands do ZEL industrial-grade edge gateways support for data ingestion?

ZEL-50 / ZEL-50 Pro / ZEL-80 cover mainstream inverter brands via two parallel paths: • Vendor cloud API direct integration (recommended, no field wiring): one-click connect to 8 mainstream OEMs — Huawei FusionSolar, Sungrow iSolarCloud, Growatt, Ginlong Solis, GoodWe SEMS, Sofar SolarMan, HopeWind, APsystems. • Local protocol direct capture: for scenarios without open cloud APIs or needing higher data fidelity, ZEL gateways read directly via full-protocol RS485 / Modbus RTU/TCP / IEC 104, covering nearly all industrial inverter models (including niche brands and custom devices). Onboarding is 3 steps — scan-detect → plug-and-play → data flow — with no field commissioning. The ZEL-80 flagship adds CAN×2 and 10+10 DI/DO for custom extension.

How do I choose between ZEL-50 / 50 Pro / 80?

Pick by plant scale + environment severity: • ZEL-50 (Entry): Single-string / small C&I plants. Rockchip RK3568J quad-core + 512MB DDR3 + RS485×4 + 2×LAN + Nano SIM. • ZEL-50 Pro (Mid): Medium-scale with strong EMI environments. ARM Cortex-A7×3 + M0 dual-chip 1.3GHz, dual-network redundancy, 4× isolated RS485 (3kVDC), EMC Level 3. • ZEL-80 (Flagship): Large / utility / edge AI inference. Quad 64-bit Cortex-A53 1.8GHz + Ubuntu, 2GB DDR4, GbE + LTE + GNSS + Wi-Fi 5, HDMI, CAN×2, DI/DO 10+10. All models support OTA updates and ride the same ZenovaOS subscription.

If a plant already has another vendor's data logger, must we replace it to use ZenovaOS?

Not necessarily. ZenovaOS prefers vendor cloud API direct connections — as long as devices report to an OEM cloud (Huawei / Sungrow / Growatt etc. — 8 supported), you can "sign in to enroll" without touching hardware. For devices without open APIs, we'd recommend replacing with ZEL or deploying a ZEL-50 as parallel secondary capture. We provide compatibility assessment and migration path design.
